A lista considera os jogos vendidos e vídeos acessados no eShop na semana terminada em 10/12/2015 no Wii U e em 07/12/2015 no 3DS.



O lançamento de Xenoblade Chronicles X (Wii U) garantiu a ele a liderança de jogos mais vendidos no eShop, superando o campeão Super Mario Maker (Wii U). Já Mario Tennis: Ultra Smash (Wii U) parece ter sofrido com as críticas recebidas e saiu da lista. No 3DS, Super Mario 3D Land (3DS) saltou para a primeira posição, possivelmente pelo bundle oferecido por algumas lojas americanas durante a Black Friday, que traziam o código para download do jogo.
